Sensei Mackenzie holds the rank of Nidan, 2nd degree black belt. She is currently away at university but is an occasional instructor for our Kids classes. Sensei Mackenzie is a skilled student who enjoys helping the students refine their technique and perfect their kata

Renshi Sandy has studied various martial arts over the past 40 years including Shorin-ryu and Goju-ryu Karate, Tai Chi and Judo. She specializes in self defence and has run seminars throughout Ontario for thousands of participants from organizations including McMaster University, The Ontario Court of Justice, The Ontario Teachers Federation and Toronto Community Services. She presently holds the international rank of Renshi, 5th degree black belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate and 2nd degree black belt in Kobudo (weapons). She was also awarded her Shihan certificate by her sensei, Kyoshi Pat Haley of California and by Hanshi Minoru Nakazato of Okinawa, head of the International Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan

All ranks and titles for our black belt instructors have been awarded on merit in open testing conducted by a grading board comprised of senior ranking black belts and are certified by the Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Kyokai in Okinawa, Japan.

Sensei Linda holds the rank of Sandan, 3rd degree black belt. She also holds a Shodan, 1st degree black belt, in Wado-Ryu Karate. She often assists the kids, teens and adults. Sensei Linda has a wealth of experience and knowlege in traditional Okinawan karate to share

Sensei Olaf holds the rank of Nidan, 2nd degree black belt. He is a patient and meticulous teacher. Sensei Olaf enjoys dissecting his kata and perfecting his moves. He studies the details and shares this knowledge with the students

Sensei Patrick holds the rank of Sandan, 3rd degree black belt. He is an instructor for our kids and teen classes. Sensei Patrick embraces precise and controlled sparring and enjoys passing on these sparring skills and knowledge to the students

Sensei Yanick holds the rank of Sandan, 3rd degree black belt. He is a dedicated instructor for our kids and teen classes. He is also a certified Ontario physical education teacher. Sensei Yanick brings his enthusiasm to every class!

Sensei Marcus holds the rank of Nidan, 2nd degree black belt. Sensei Marcus is a premium kicker and enjoys leading the students in advanced kicking drills to help improve their skills

Sensei Tim holds the rank of Yondan, 4th degree black belt, and has been studying karate since he was a Little Dragon beginning at age 4! Sensei Tim enjoys teaching his teen students a variety of bunkai applications (self defence from the kata), grappling skills and kobudo kumite (partner drills with traditional Okinawan weapons)
